Position Overview
The Software Integrations Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring seamless integration projects between clients and the engineering team. They are responsible for managing the entire integration lifecycle, from gathering requirements to documentation and implementation. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and client communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis
- Collaborate with clients to gather integration requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business objectives and technical specifications.
- Translate client needs into actionable requirements for the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project scope and timelines.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and infrastructure to identify potential integration challenges and opportunities.
- Identify requirements that can become standard product. Work with Data and Product management to incorporate into product roadmap.
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones for integration projects, considering resource allocation and dependencies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute integration projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
Client Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the integration process, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates to keep stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and decisions.
- Address client concerns and feedback promptly, working collaboratively to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of integration requirements, design specifications, and implementation plans.
- Develop comprehensive test cases and acceptance criteria to validate integration functionality and performance.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal teams and clients to ensure understanding of integration processes and best practices.
Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline integration workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Implement quality assurance measures to validate data integrity, system reliability, and performance across integrated systems.
- Solicit feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to iterate on integration processes and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in project and product management, particularly in software integrations or related technical domains.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, integration patterns, and API technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred.
- Experience in project managing integrations with Ticketing systems and CRMs, such as Salesforce, Zendesk or HubSpot.
- Knowledge of e-mobility protocols, such as OCPP and OCPI, is a plus.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
